FoodShare's Good Food at Home Program: Wellness Box

Good Food at Home is a supportive nutrition program for women recently diagnosed with breast cancer. The WELLNESS Box is delivered once per week, and contains 25-35 servings of fruits and vegetables. Every week prepared items are included as well. Whenever possible, we purchase from local Ontario farmers. The home delivered WELLNESS Box is available for up to six months to any woman in active treatment (receiving chemotherapy and/or radiation therapy) who lives in the city of Toronto. The cost is $5 per week. Program spaces are limited.

For further details, read the Good Food at Home Program Flyer (pdf).

Halton Region Health Department

In April of 2004, a local Anglican Church received two-year Trillium funding to start a Good Food Box Program in Halton Region. This program is overseen by a Steering Committee and a coordinator was hired in August 2004. Delivery of boxes around the region will be monthly and started in November 2004.
