OPHA Board of Directors

The OPHA Board strategic planning process is well underway. The purpose is to evaluate past (2003-2009) strategic direction efforts of the Ontario Public Health Association (OPHA) to inform their development of a three-year (2010-2013) strategic plan within the changing public health landscape in Ontario. The data to inform the strategic planning process has now been collected and will be summarized by our consultant, Kim Bergeron, to inform the Board’s strategic planning day on April 29, 2010. We anticipate a developed plan by the end of June.

OPHA hosted a meeting of the Constituent Society Presidents and their Representatives to the Board on March 25 in the OPHA Boardroom. The Constituent Societies gave input into our Strategic Plan and had a dialogue with Anne Simard and Kimberley Meighan from the Ontario Agency for Health Protection and Promotion (OAHPP) about the Agency’s support for professional practice and knowledge exchange.
