Public Health Today magazine
OPHA is pleased to announce the launch of its new magazine, Public Health Today, which will be published twice per year. The magazine is a key benefit to OPHA members — allowing the organization to raise the profile of public health issues to a much wider external audience. It will be available to OPHA members and to other key stakeholders in Canada’s public health system. The inaugural issue (pictured here) focuses on the highlights — keynote speakers and presentations — of the 2007 OPHA conference.
One of the presentations, the poem Public Help by Stolen from Africa's Ms Ebony, has to be heard to be truly appreciated. The words appear on page 8 of the magazine. OPHA Members can log in to the Members' Lounge and click here to listen to her performance. [MP3, 2.7MB, 2:57]
If you would like to obtain a copy of this issue of Public Health Today or to subscribe and receive the magazine on an on-going basis, please send an e-mail to our Communications and Public Relations Officer.
