June is Recreation and Parks Month
OPHA joins Parks and Recreation Ontario and its partners to celebration June is Recreation and Parks Month (JRPM).
Public Health Units, municipalities, community health centres, schools and not-for-profit organizations are invited to be Community Ambassadors to celebrate and profile the benefits and values of parks and recreation within their community and proclaim June is Recreation and Parks Month (JRPM). For details on how to you and your organization can become involved log on to Parks and Recreation Ontario’s website.
OPHA has joined in the promotion of and support for JRPM as a delivery partner in order to build momentum, support and engagement of networks in this annual JRPM campaign. We would like to recruit you as Community Ambassadors for this campaign.
The theme this year, “Live it Everyday” was created to acknowledge the importance of and encourage participation in a broad range of recreation and parks programs and activities everyday. The purpose is to raise public, political and corporate awareness about the benefits and values that recreation and parks play in building a strong society. Please join OPHA and other is celebrating JRPM.
