Core Competencies for Public Health in Canada Orientation Module
Public health core competencies in Canada are the essential knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary for the broad practice of public health. In an effort to increase understanding and build support for the integration of Core Competencies for Public Health in Canada: Release 1.0, the Ontario Public Health Association, in partnership with the Public Health Agency of Canada, has developed an Orientation Module for public health professionals.

The Core Competencies for Public Health in Canada Orientation Module is designed to get public health professionals talking about the 36 core competencies for public health, their importance in guiding public health practice, and how they can help build public health capacity.
This “one stop shop” Orientation Module offers information, tools, and resources to help you become familiar with the Core Competencies for Public Health in Canada: Release 1.0. It provides ways in which the Core Competencies can be used and integrated in your job, with your team, and across your organization!
