
Membership Info
The Ontario Public Health Association has two types of membership: Individual, and Constituent Society. We welcome any individual to join OPHA who is interested in advancing the cause of Public Health and shares in OPHA's mission. Organizations can also become members. They must be a voluntary organization of community or public health professionals that have objectives compatible with those of OPHA and are based in Ontario (or are the Ontario branch of a national organization).

Opt In To Receive OPHA's Monthly E-Bulletin Newsletter:
You are entitled to receive, each month, by email an edition of the OPHA E-Bulletin which is published to the OPHA web site. The E-bulletin keeps you informed about the latest internal developments within OPHA’s workgroups and partnerships and discusses hot topics in public health.

Advocacy
You can play a vital role in promoting Public Health Issues by researching and developing policy statements, participating on issue management groups, drafting position papers or representing your community on action teams.
Professional Development, Interdisciplinary Collaboration, and Networking
You will benefit from the credibility that OPHA has earned through its uniquely interdisciplinary approach. Your voice will be strengthened as OPHA leverages the tools, perspectives and strategies of all public health disciplines in devising clear and consistent calls to action from governments and policy makers.
You will have the opportunity to participate in OPHA’s Mentorship Program which is under construction, to exchange ideas and interact with the decision-makers in your field. Membership provides opportunities for you to network with leading Public Health thinkers, policy makers and practitioners in Ontario—a valuable step towards career success.
Workgroups
You can contribute to new ideas to our existing Workgroups and Programs, help develop new initiatives, or engage your fellow Members in developing a new Workgroup of your own.
Information Dissemination
You will be eligible to contribute your talents in various professional development activities—participate in the OPHA Annual Conference, receive media links, newsletters and updates, preferred access to tools, and reduced rates for OPHA-sponsored events and services.
Membership Rates
OPHA memberships are for individuals and run for a period of one year. Organizational memberships are not available.

How to Apply
Thank you for adding your voice to the approximately 3,000 individuals in public and community health in Ontario who are working towards improving the health of all Ontarians.
You can use your credit card to Sign up Online using our secure payment gateway, or download the application form [PDF], and mail it in to OPHA with your payment. You will receive a confirmation email when we process your membership. If you have any questions, or concerns, please contact our Board and Member Relations Officer directly.
