Welcome to the OPHA Members’ Lounge. This section of the OPHA web site contains a variety of resources and information accessible only to public health practitioners and other interested individuals who are Members in Good Standing of OPHA — that is, those who have registered and paid the fees required to become members of the OPHA.

Advocacy
OPHA members are actively involved in influencing the development of public health policy and practice at the local, provincial and national levels. You can play a vital role in promoting public health issues by researching and developing policy statements, participating on issues management groups, drafting position papers, representing your community on committee and action teams.
Professional Advancement
OPHA Membership puts you in touch with many of the leading public health thinkers, policy makers and practitioners in Ontario. The opportunity to mentor and be mentored, to exchange ideas and to interact with the leading edge of decision-making in your field is a valuable tool on your journey to professional success.
Program Development
OPHA members are key participants in the development and delivery of public health programs in partnership with the Ministry of Health Promotion and the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care. You can become involved in contributing new ideas to existing programs or assist in developing innovative new programs that meet the everchanging needs of Ontario’s public health sector.
Workgroups
OPHA members like to roll up their sleeves and wade knee-deep into the most pressing issues in public health today. You can participate on an existing workgroup or solicit the support of your fellow members in developing a workroup of your own.
Information Dissemination
