2009 Conference

This year's conference was held jointly with OPHA's 11 Constituent Societies on November 1-4, at the Toronto Marriott Downtown Eaton Centre in Toronto, Ontario. The theme this year was: Building for the Future. It was also a special conference in that it celebrated OPHA's 60th year anniversary as the Voice of Public Health in Ontario.

2008 Conference

This year's conference was held jointly with Niagara Region Public Health and the Association of Local Public Health Agencies on October 26-29, at the Sheraton on the Falls Hotel in Niagara Falls, Ontario. It was called "A Public Health Summit" and the theme this year was: Making Healthy Communities Count.

2007 Conference

This year's conference was held jointly with Toronto Public Health on November 18-21, at the Toronto Eaton Centre Marriott Hotel in Toronto, Ontario. The theme this year: Public Health: Who's at Risk? What's at Stake?

2006 Conference

This year's conference was held jointly with the Eastern Ontario Public Health Unit on October 25-27, at the Nav Canada Conference Centre in Cornwall, Ontario.

The sub-themes this year were:

This year's conference was held jointly with the Windsor-Essex County Health Unit on November 2 - 5, at the Cleary International Centre in Windsor, Ontario.

  • Keynote Speaker - Dr. Matthew Boulton, Chief Medical Epidemiologist and Director of the Bureau of Epidemiology, Michigan Department of Community Health.

Tuesday - November 4

  • Keynote Speaker - Dr. Jurgen Rehm, Senior Consultant and Head of the Working Group on Comparative Risk Assessment for Alcohol, World Health Organization.

Wednesday - November 5

  • Keynote Speaker - Wendy Mesley, Senior Journalist, Canadian Broadcasting Corporation.

 

2002: Partners Moving Beyond Borders

This year's conference was held jointly with the York Region Health Services on November 18-20, at the Sheraton Parkway Toronto North Hotel & Conference Centre, Richmond Hill, Ontario.
